COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – NTEC

The Nutritional Therapy Education Commission (NTEC) are seeking a self motivated and experienced communications professional to join their team of dedicated education professionals.

NTEC is an executive body within BANT and accredits courses against the Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC) Core Curriculum and the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Nutritional Therapy. The CNHC provide an independent UK register of complementary health care practitioners and the National Occupational Standards were developed and updated by Skills for Health, www.skillsforhealth.org.uk which is the Sector Skills Council for the healthcare sector, licensed by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills.

As Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in communicating with NTEC accredited Training Providers, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and other professional bodies to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with relevant information and changes in the professional landscape. Liasing with the web hosting company to update information and resources on the NTEC website

A lively and informative writing style, a willingness to learn about the work of NTEC (we will provide a virtual training session), and an interest in the delivery of Nutritional Therapy Education would be desirable.

It is a voluntary role and would involve one to two hours each month drafting news updates, although some months will require fewer hours, and others may be busier. The role is flexible and can be undertaken from any location. You will also be required to attend quarterly board meetings to include reading board papers (approximately two hours each quarter) and this part of the role is paid a nominal fee for attending a virtual board meeting via Zoom.
