Job title: Lecturer, Module Coordinator (module: Research Skills)

Location: Homebased with occasional attendance

Contract term: up to 0.3 FTE (11.25 hours per week) permanent contract

Salary: £34,127 (£10,237.50 pro rata)

Start Date: Tuesday 5th August 2025

The BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy is offered part-time over 4.5 years and full-time over 3 years and its associated degree top-up is currently offered part-time over 1.5 years with online with synchronous weekly sessions, and with a single September and February intakes.

You will support students in a 20-credit module designed to help them develop advanced research skills in nutritional therapy and lifestyle practice. This includes teaching research methodologies, guiding ethical proposal development, and helping students critically evaluate and communicate their research ideas.

You will come with:

  • A qualification in applied nutrition, nutritional therapy, functional medicine, to least at level 6 or the equivalent experience
  • Teaching or training experience in higher education
  • Demonstrable experience in academic research and ethical review processes
  • Strong communication and feedback skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Professional body membership/registration (a mandatory requirement for clinical modules only)
  • And be self-directed and able to contribute to the team
