Position: Functional Medicine Practitioner & Nutritional Therapist

Location: Fully Remote (Home-Based)

Job Type: Part-Time (4-6 clients per week +)

Salary: TBC

About you

As a qualified nutrition and or functional medicine practitioner, you’ll be comfortable interpreting functional medicine test results and have at least 4 years of 1 to 1 clinical experience in your own clinic and will be keen to consolidate your learning so far.

Ideally you will have experience running your practice and understand a broad overview of the administration involved (understanding this leads to a better admin experience for all)

You’ll keep up to date with CPD and have a deep interest and experience in reading the latest research to keep you up to date with developments.

You’ll be self-motivated and happy to work from home or remotely. You will enjoy being part of a busy team and have the ability to communicate in a clear, comprehendible and concise way with clients and your fellow team members.

 

Your key skills 

  • A qualified nutritional therapist or functional medicine practitioner with a minimum of 4 years clinic experience.
  • Prior hands-on experience utilising functional medicine tests
  • Excel in effective communication, both in written and verbal forms.
  • Equally adept at working independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Highly organised with an unwavering attention to detail.

About the Role
Our growing functional medicine and nutritional therapy clinic is looking for an experienced Functional Medicine Practitioner & Nutritional Therapist to join our team. The clinic specialises in IBS & SIBO, gut health, genetic testing, mold toxicity, mental health, skin issues and more. The role includes conducting functional nutritional assessments, interpreting lab results, and providing personalised health protocols.

Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of clinical experience and expertise in gut health

Additionally, experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: ✔

✔ Environmental toxins, Toxic Heavy metals

✔ Mould toxicity, (Mycotox)

✔ Hormone and thyroid Health

✔ Autoimmune & chronic inflammatory conditions

✔ Children’s and young people’s health (gut health, immunity, ADHD, autism)

✔ Mental health (anxiety, ADHD, Autism)

✔ Genetic testing interpretation

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments
  • Utilise functional lab testing
  • Develop personalised nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, gut health specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide concise, easy-to-understand client reports (diet, supplements, lifestyle, next steps).
  • Maintain detailed case notes and adhere to professional guidelines.
  • Stay updated with CPD training in functional medicine and nutritional therapy.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Nutritional Therapist / Functional Medicine Practitioner
  • Minimum 4 years clinical experience working with IBS, SIBO, and a related specialism.
  • Strong understanding of functional medicine testing
  • Experience with client consultations, test result interpretation, and personalised health planning.
  • Strong communication skills to explain findings clearly to clients.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
